1. Pledge
Kai Tak Sports Park Limited (“KTSPL”) recognises and understands that customers, website visitors, and mobile application users are concerned about the privacy, confidentiality and security of their personal data. KTSPL pledges to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) (“PDPO”) and other applicable laws.
This Privacy Policy Statement outlines KTSPL’s practices and the choices you have concerning the collection and use of your personal data.
2. Collection of Information
You may be invited to provide to KTSPL your personal data on the Kai Tak Sports Park (“KTSP”) website (www.kaitaksportspark.com.hk) and its associated ticketing and booking sites (collectively “KTSP Website”), on KTSP’s mobile application (“KTSP Mobile App”), through KTSPL’s social media channels or through other channels (whether online or offline) for different purposes at different times.
3. Activity Log
When you visit and/or use the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App, the servers of KTSPL may collect data relating to your visits (including but not limited to your IP address, domain name, browser type and access time).
If you use the public Wi-Fi provided by KTSPL, we may collect your location data (if you have consented to this on your device). We may use your location data to track your activity patterns and preferences in order to improve the level of service you receive and your experience within KTSP. Your location data may be combined with other information we receive from third parties to provide you with better service and, where you have consented to receive direct marketing, we may provide you with targeted advertisements, content, features, and offers in relation to the Marketing Subjects set out in paragraph 17 of this Privacy Policy Statement.
4. Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms
When you browse the KTSP Website and/or KTSP Mobile App, cookies will be stored in your computers, mobile phones or other devices for internal navigation and programming. We may use cookies and other tracking mechanisms described below to track information about your use of the KTSP Website and KTSP Mobile App. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you to enhance your experience and/or maintain your information across multiple pages within or across one or more browsing sessions.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computers, mobile phones or other devices through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App, while other cookies are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to store and track information about your interests and preferences via the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App.
We may also use web beacons and other similar technologies in addition to, or in combination with, cookies. Web beacons are transparent graphic images that help us to determine whether you have accessed our contents.
We may also engage third parties or use third party cookies or other technologies to track and analyse non-personally identifiable data from the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App. We use such data to help us administer and improve the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App and to analyse their usage. Such third parties may combine the information that we provide about you with other information that they have collected. You can edit your browser settings to disable cookies but you may then not be able to utilise certain functionalities of the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App.
We may also collect information regarding your IP address, browser type, domain name and access time. This information is used for KTSPL’s research purposes. This is unrelated to and separate from your personal data. In rare instances, IP addresses may be used to assist in deterring and/or preventing abusive or criminal activity on the website.
If you interact with KTSPL on social media platforms (for example, if you “Like” KTSP’s Facebook page), KTSPL can interact with you and send you messages via these platforms. KTSPL will interact with you in accordance with the social media platform’s rules but we are not responsible for how the platform operators collect and handle your personal data. We are not responsible for what third parties post on our social media accounts.
5. Kinds of Information Collected
For different purposes in the course of conducting KTSPL’s business, you may be required to provide to KTSPL your personal data, which may include your name, gender, salutation, month of birth, year of birth, e-mail address, social media account information, billing address, mailing/correspondence address, residential address, your credit or debit or other charge card information, place of residence, contact/phone number, membership number, age, marital status, family status, username and password, etc. Details of personal data and information to be collected will be set out in the Personal Information Collection Statement (“PICS”) provided to you upon collection of such data and information.The collection of your personal data may be carried out by requiring you to create an account under KTSPL’s Friends of KTSP Membership Programme (“KTSPMP”) via the KTSP Website or KTSP App.
You may also be required to provide KTSPL with your personal data including your name, month of birth and year of birth through “iAM Smart”, a digital services platform developed and operated by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and independent of KTSPL, when booking facilities, programmes and services (which are not limited to those available at KTSP). KTSPL has no intention to use other personal data collected by “iAM Smart” unless otherwise stated.
6. Main Purposes and Uses of Information Collected
KTSPL will use your personal data for the purposes identified in the PICS (and other directly related purposes) when your personal data is collected.
In addition, KTSPL may use your personal data for the following purposes (or any other directly related purposes):
(i) identifying and verifying your identity;
(ii) communicating with you in respect of your use of KTSPL’s services, products, events and charitable initiatives, the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App;
(iii) processing bookings, purchases, orders or requests made by you;
(iv) sending you birthday messages (if you have provided your date/month of birth) or event reminders;
(v) daily operation, administration and maintenance including but not limited to account creation, membership registration, maintenance and deletion;
(vi) responding to and following up on your enquiries;
(vii) providing rewards or benefits for loyalty club or membership programmes, daily operation and administration of such membership including verification of identity, accumulating and redeeming reward, handling requests for and providing services, membership, redemption or benefits, contacting you in connection with your membership;
(viii) direct marketing (with your explicit consent);
(ix) monitoring and analysing usage of KTSPL’s services and products, the KTSP Website and/or KTSP Mobile App to help the further development and improvement of the same;
(x) data analytics and research and development in relation to customer behavior;
(xi) information management and database administration and maintenance;
(xii) processing your job application and/or employment-related issues;
(xiii) detecting, investigating, reporting and/or preventing activities that may violate our policies or may be illegal or may harm the safety of any person, their property or their rights; or
(xiv) collecting or recovering any debt owed by you to KTSPL or to enforce any other rights of KTSPL against you.
7. Accuracy of Information
You may be requested to provide to KTSPL certain personal data (particularly relating to your contact information) for specific services or programmes that may take place within or outside KTSP. If you fail to provide or update your information as requested for specific services or programmes, the provision of such services or programmes may be affected.
8. Retention of Information
KTSPL will not retain your personal data for a period longer than is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which they are or are to be used. If you are a user of the facilities, services or programmes provided at or associated with KTSP, your personal data will be retained for a reasonable period after termination of your use for verification and audit purposes. The above is subject to any legal, statutory, regulatory, reporting or accounting requirements.
9. Minors and Mentally Incapacitated Persons
Except where required or permitted by local laws, we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors and mentally incapacitated persons. If you are a minor or a mentally incapacitated person, you may only use the KTSP Website and KTSP Mobile App with the permission of your parent, legal guardian or carer.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy Statement, we regard those under the age of 18 as minors. If you are under the age of 18, you are recommended to obtain consent of your parent or legal guardian before you provide KTSPL with your personal data.
You must be above the age of 15 in order to join KTSPMP and create a Friends of KTSP account under KTSPMP and/or use or register for the services, facilities and programmes that require an account.
10. Ticketing
If you are to purchase any tickets on KTSPL’s ticketing site by clicking through any one of the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App, you are advised to observe the Terms of Use applicable to and available on KTSPL’s ticketing site, in conjunction with this Privacy Policy Statement. If you are to purchase any tickets through any third-party website, please refer to paragraph 12 of this Privacy Policy Statement.
11. Third-Party Merchants
KTSPL may have on-line stores or services and/or products which are hosted on the website(s) of KTSPL but are operated by third-party merchants. If you provide your personal data to the third-party merchants in order to use, order or receive any services and/or products from the third-party merchants, please note that such personal data provided is beyond the control of KTSPL and thus outside the scope of protection afforded by KTSPL.
12. Third-Party Websites
The KTSP Website and KTSP Mobile App may from time to time contain links to third-party websites. These third-party websites are independent from the KTSP Website and KTSP Mobile App. KTSPL has no control or management over the content of such websites or their privacy policies or compliance with the law. You should be fully aware that the provision of such links do not constitute any endorsement, approval, or any form of association by or with KTSPL. KTSPL has no control over the personal data submitted by you, if any, to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy Statement only applies to the KTSP Website, KTSP Mobile App and social media channels of KTSPL. You should read the respective privacy policies these third-party websites.
13. Service Providers
KTSPL may provide your personal data to the people and companies providing goods and services (whether within or outside the HKSAR) to KTSPL (such as suppliers, IT contractors, cloud service providers, event service providers, promoters and marketing agents) or any persons under a duty of confidentiality to us in connection with the specific purposes set out in the PICS and paragraph 6 above (“KTSPL Service Providers”) and this Privacy Policy Statement. In these cases, the KTSPL Service Providers are required to use your personal data in accordance with the agreements that KTSPL enters into with them as well as this Privacy Policy Statement and the PICS.
14. Security of Information
We implement measures with a view to safeguarding the security of your personal data and protecting it from unauthorised access and use.
Physical records of your personal data will be stored in secured places with restricted access. Electronic records of your personal data will be stored in the servers of KTSPL located in secured places and protected by adequate IT security measures (e.g. encryption for transmission of sensitive data through the internet in appropriate cases). Only authorised personnel of KTSPL (who have been trained to handle your personal data properly and who are bound by a duty of confidentiality) will have access to these records and servers on a “need-to-know” and “need-to-use” basis.
No data transmission over the internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and privacy cannot be assured in your communications with us. You are encouraged to guard against any unauthorised access to your password. You are advised to sign out of your account when you have finished using your account and when you are using a shared electronic device.
15. Government and Authorities
KTSPL may disclose your personal data as required by law, by any government departments, regulatory authorities, enforcement agencies and courts of competent jurisdiction. KTSPL may also disclose your personal data to third parties if it believes that this is reasonably necessary to comply with law, to detect, protect and enforce the safety of any person, their property or their rights, to address fraud and security and report criminal activity. KTSPL excludes all liability for disclosure of your personal data in this manner.
16. Use in Legal Proceedings etc
If it becomes necessary for KTSPL to take action against you for recovering from you any debt you owe to KTSPL or enforcing any rights of KTSPL against you, you agree that your personal data can be used by KTSPL for identifying you and taking legal action against you.
17. Direct Marketing
We cannot use your personal data for direct marketing purposes without your consent. Subject to your consent, we may use your personal data for direct marketing activities as stated below in accordance with the PICS provided to you upon collection of your personal data:
(i) For direct marketing activities including but not limited to offers, news, information and promotions about us and KTSP, our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners (defined below) in relation to the Marketing Subjects (defined below) whether by in-app messages and/or notifications and/or push notifications to your mobile device or by means of email, text message or other media whether now known or available in the future.
(ii) Subject to your consent, we may also use your personal data for, or provide your personal data to, our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners so that they may use it for direct marketing activities including but not limited to offers, news, information and promotions about our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners in relation to the Marketing Subjects whether by in-app messages and/or notifications and/or push notifications to your mobile device or by means of email, text message or other media whether now known or available in the future.
(iii) Our “Marketing Partners” include the Brand Partners of KTSP (as indicated on the KTSP Website), property developers, banks, financial and investment institutions, insurance companies, private clubs, concierge and customer service providers, retail outlets and online businesses (products and services including fashion and beauty, health and personal cares, luxury, home and living, food, wine and beverage, books and stationery), shopping malls, department stores, watches and jewellers (such as Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited), hotel chains, catering services providers, healthcare and senior care, services and/or products providers including art and culture, health and wellness, gallery and exhibition, green and nature, sports and recreation, travel and accommodation, leisure and entertainment, transportation and logistics, telecommunication and information technology, education and institutions.
(iv) “Affiliate” means a subsidiary (as such term is defined in the Companies Ordinance, Cap. 622 of the Laws of the HKSAR) of KTSPL (if any), a holding company (as such term is defined in the Companies Ordinance, Cap. 622 of the Laws of the HKSAR) of KTSPL or a subsidiary of that holding company and any company which is associated with or in which any of the foregoing entities have any interest.
(v) As we may share your personal data with our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners, we may also receive your personal data from them. Subject to your consent given to our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners, we may also use such personal data to send you direct marketing about us, our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners in relation to the Marketing Subjects.
The types of products, services, events and charitable initiatives that we, our Affiliates and/or our Marketing Partners may market to you (“Marketing Subjects”) include the following:
- products and services in relation to real property (sale, leasing and investment), retail, facilities management, infrastructure, shopping malls, department stores, jewelleries and luxury products, hotels, food and beverage, health care and senior care, convention and exhibition centres, sports, entertainment and recreational facilities, education and charitable pursuits;
- finance, banking, insurance and other related services and products by banks, finance and investment institutions and insurance companies;
- access and privileges at private clubs;
- professional consultation on customer services, including but not limited to event planning, hotels and tickets reservation;
- consumer products and services by retail outlets and/or online businesses, including but not limited to fashion and beauty, health and personal cares, luxury, home and living, food, wine and beverage, book and stationery;
- reward, loyalty, privileges programmes and promotions at shopping malls and department stores;
- reward, loyalty, privileges programmes and promotions for customers and/or potential customers;
- catering services on food, wine and beverage;
- travel and accommodation services, including but not limited to holiday package products and services offered by travel agents, tickets to attractions;
- transportation and logistics service, including but not limited to air travel and non-air transportation services such as hotel transfers, car rentals, bus operators, train operators and cruise operators;
- tickets for concerts, galleries, exhibitions, films, theatricals, sporting, special and cultural events;
- green and nature activities;
- telecommunication, internet and mobile communication services, social networking and media;
- professional advice and/or consultation on education and/or personal enhancement; and
- charitable initiatives which support areas including sports, entertainment, recreation, art and cultural programmes relief of poverty, advancement of education, advancement of religion and other purposes that are beneficial to the community.
You may withdraw your consent to direct marketing any time by writing to the Personal Data Privacy Officer of KTSPL by email at [email protected], using the subject “Personal Data”.
18. Changes to Privacy Policy Statement
This Privacy Policy Statement may from time to time be updated, revised and changed. Any change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon being posted on www.kaitaksportspark.com.hk. You are advised to check this on a regular basis.
19. Change of Control
In the event of any actual or proposed transfer of business, transfer of shares, re-structuring, amalgamation, merger, sale, transfer or purchase of KTSP, its business or its Affiliates’ businesses, KTSPL may need to transfer your personal data to the new entity for use in accordance with this Privacy Policy Statement and the PICS provided to you upon collection of your personal data. You will be notified of such event, and you may decide to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data.
20. Transfer of Information to Jurisdictions Outside the HKSAR
The data you provide to us may be sourced from or transferred to other jurisdictions outside the HKSAR. We will try to ensure, as far as possible and practicable, that data sourced or transferred outside the HKSAR is protected to standards in line with the requirements of the PDPO.
21. Access and Correction of Personal Data and Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to request in writing to the Personal Data Privacy Officer of KTSPL by email at [email protected], under the subject “Personal Data”:
(i) for access to your personal data held by KTSPL (if any);
(ii) require KTSPL to correct your personal data that is inaccurate (if any); and
(iii) withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data (such withdrawal may, however, affect our provision of services to you).
All such requests will be handled promptly in accordance with the requirements of the PDPO. KTSPL may charge a reasonable fee for processing your data access request.

23. English Version Prevails
If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions of this Privacy Policy Statement, the English version shall prevail.

The People’s Republic of China (Mainland China) Addendum
1. Application
If you are:
- an individual located in Mainland China who visits or uses the KTSP Website or KTSP Mobile App, or otherwise use any of KTSP’s and/or KTSPL’s products, services, programmes and facilities by phone or any other means from Mainland China; and/or
- an individual holding a Mainland China passport and/or resident identity card who visits KTSP and/or the premises owned and/or managed by KTSPL and/or its Affiliates or related companies in the HKSAR or otherwise uses any of KTSP’s and/or KTSPL’s products, services, programmes and facilities by phone or any other means in the HKSAR,
your personal data will be processed by KTSPL in accordance with this “The People’s Republic of China Addendum” (the “Addendum”) in addition to KTSPL’s Privacy Policy Statement and PICS as well as the applicable data protection laws and regulations in Mainland China which, for the current purposes, excludes the HKSAR, the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan.
Therefore, before using KTSPL’s products and/or services or providing any personal data to us, please ensure that you have carefully read, understood and agree to this Addendum, the Privacy Policy Statement and the PICS.
In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, it shall be resolved in the following order of precedence (from higher to lower) in respect of such conflict or inconsistency: (a) this Addendum; (b) the PICS; and (c) the Privacy Policy Statement.
2. Personal Data
In this Addendum, “personal data” refers to various information related to an identified or identifiable natural person recorded electronically or by other means and does not include anonymised information. Personal data involved in this Addendum includes those set out in paragraph 5 of the Privacy Policy Statement.
Certain personal data that KTSPL collects may be sensitive personal data as defined in the applicable data protection laws in Mainland China, which is personal data that, once leaked or illegally used, may easily lead to violation of the personal dignity of a natural person or harm of personal or property safety. This includes residential address, marital status, biometric data, activity log files, location data and transaction information (including your characteristics and transaction behavior).
“Process” or “processing” of “personal data” includes the collection, storage, use, processing, transmission, provision, disclosure, deletion, etc. of “personal data”.
3. How We Collect and Process Your Personal Data
Please refer to paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Privacy Policy Statement on how we collect and process your personal data.
In general, we process your personal data with your consent, and where appropriate, with separate consent from you for processing your personal data under specific circumstances required by the applicable data protection laws and regulations in Mainland China. You acknowledge and agree that under the following situations, we are not required to obtain your consent to process your personal data:
(i) the processing is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract to which you are a party, or where it is necessary to conduct human resources management according to lawfully formulated labour rules and lawfully concluded collective contracts;
(ii) the processing is necessary for the performance of our duties or obligations under any applicable laws and regulations, including those directly related to:
a) National security and national defence;
b) Criminal investigation, prosecution and trial and execution of court orders, judgments or related matters; or
c) Public security, public health, or major public interest;
(iii) the processing is necessary for responding to public health emergencies, or for the protection of life, health and property safety of natural persons under emergency circumstances;
(iv) the personal data is processed within a reasonable scope to conduct news reporting, supervision by public opinion and other activities in the public interest;
(v) the personal data is made available to the public by you or the personal data about you from legitimate public sources is processed within a reasonable scope in accordance with the laws and regulations; or
(vi) other circumstances as provided by the laws and regulations.
4. Your Rights as the Personal Data Subjects
Please refer to paragraph 21 of the Privacy Policy Statement in relation to your rights to access, correct your personal data and withdraw your consent. Further, in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations in Mainland China, we will ensure that you may exercise the following rights over your personal data, including to:
(i) request to delete your personal data if:
- our processing of your personal data breaches laws or regulations;
- we collect or use your personal data without your consent;
- our processing of your personal data breaches our agreement with you;
- you no longer use our products and/ or services, or the purposes for collection described in this Addendum have been achieved or accomplished;
- you withdraw your consent; or
- we no longer provide products and/or services to you;
(ii) change the scope of your consent;
(iii) obtain a copy of your personal data; or
(iv) request to transfer our personal data to another personal data processor provided that such request is compliant with the applicable laws and regulations.
Such requests shall be made to the Personal Data Privacy Officer of KTSPL by email at [email protected], under the subject “Personal Data”.
However, please note that we may refuse your requests under the following circumstances:
(i) Circumstances relevant to the fulfilment of our obligations under laws and regulations, including our provision of your personal data (including your sensitive personal data) generated during the transaction between you and us to the regulatory authority(ies) and or other governmental departments under the laws and regulations of Mainland China;
(ii) The data retention period required by any law or administrative regulation has not expired, or it is difficult to delete personal data technically (in such cases, we will take necessary security protection measures to ensure the security of your personal data or anonymise such personal data);
(iii) Circumstances directly related to national security and defence security;
(iv) Circumstances directly related to public security, public health, or significant public interest;
(v) Circumstances directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution and trial, and execution of court decision;
(vi) Circumstances where we have sufficient evidence to prove that you have subjective malice, or you are abusing your rights;
(vii) Circumstances where protection of your or other individual’s life, property and other important lawful rights is involved;
(viii) Circumstances where responding to your request will cause serious harm to the lawful rights and interests of you or other individuals or organisations (including us); or
(ix) Circumstances where trade secrets are involved.
5. Retention of Personal Data
KTSPL will not retain your personal data for a period longer than is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes specified in paragraph 5 of the Privacy Policy Statement and the PICS. Please refer to paragraph 8 of the Privacy Policy Statement.
6. How We Entrust Others to Process, Share, Transfer and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Data
To achieve the purposes of collection, you understand and agree that we may entrust the processing of your personal data (including sensitive personal data) to third parties as set out in paragraphs 11 to 13 of the Privacy Policy Statement and the PICS.
The third parties entrusted by us have no authority to use your personal data for any other purposes not in accordance with this Addendum, the Privacy Policy Statement or the PICS. If there is any change to the purpose of processing of your personal data, we will ask for your consent again.
Your personal data may also be shared with KTSPL’s Affiliates and our “Marketing Partners” in respect of the “Marketing Subjects” (as defined in paragraph 17 of the Privacy Policy Statement).
7. How We Store and Transfer Your Personal Data
As KTSP is located in Hong Kong, you understand, authorise and consent that we may transfer your personal data (including sensitive personal data) outside Mainland China to Hong Kong and any other places. If you would like to learn more about the storage and cross-border transfer of your personal information, withdraw your consent and/or exercise your other rights in accordance with paragraph 4 of this Addendum, please contact the Personal Data Privacy Officer of KTSPL by email at [email protected], under the subject “Personal Data”.
Generally, we will not transfer your personal data to any company, organisation or individual outside of KTSPL, its Affiliates and/or Marketing Partners, except under the following circumstances:
(i) Transfer with separate consent. After obtaining your separate consent, we will transfer your personal data to other parties in accordance with this Addendum;
(ii) When we are involved in any change of control (please refer to paragraph 19 of the Privacy Policy Statement);
(iii) We may otherwise transfer your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, requirements under legal proceedings, compulsory administrative or judicial requirements.
8. How We Process Minors’ Personal Data
Please refer to paragraph 9 of the Privacy Policy Statement.
For individuals located in the PRC, our online services are not directed at individuals under the age of 14. If you are under the age of 14, please obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian before giving us any personal data about yourself. If parents or legal guardians are aware that personal data of any individuals under the age of 14 under their care have been provided to us without consent, please notify us immediately to delete such personal data.
9. Miscellaneous
Further, the following paragraphs in the Privacy Policy Statement shall apply:
(i) Paragraphs 3 and 4 shall apply in respect of the use of activity logs, cookies and other tracking mechanisms;
(ii) Paragraphs 7 and 14 shall apply in respect of the accuracy and security of personal data;
(iii) Paragraph 10 shall apply in respect of ticketing;
(iv) Paragraph 16 shall apply in respect of KTSPL’s use of your personal data in legal proceedings, etc;
(v) Paragraph 15 shall apply in respect of circumstances where KTSPL excludes liability for disclosure of your personal data, which will be subject to the applicable laws and regulations in Mainland China;
(vi) Paragraph 18 shall apply in respect of the update of the Privacy Policy Statement and this Addendum.

11. English Version Prevails
If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions of this Addendum, the English version shall prevail.
